Anti-calc technology is critical for a steam iron that uses over 80 liters of water annually. The mineral salts contained in the water turn into lime and accumulate in the steam generator and in the soleplate of the steam iron. Once deposited and accumulated, it is difficult to completely remove them by washing. The accumulated scale reduces the steam output, causes damage, and also settles on clothes.
